This
is another area in which the Group has developed a niche expertise
by applying our knowledge and experience in the construction
of foundations for the manufacturing sector. Among the projects
for which we are able to offer our clients design and construction
advice are steel mills and pipe factories, hydraulic presses
, punch machines and petroleum complexes where proper piling
and foundation works are crucial to the building's structure,
equipment installation and operational efficiency.
As part of the Group's commitment to meet our clients' business
needs, we often conduct our construction work inside factories
during production hours. In such instances, success and speedy
completion of projects have largely depended on our ability
to take external factors such as space constraints into consideration
to ensure minimal interruptions of our clients' daily business
operations.

Part
of the Group's plans for the future entail the expansion of our
base within the construction industry. To achieve our business building
objectives, we have made headway into several additional areas outside
of our principal activities. These expansions include our foray
into the construction of factories, steel fabrication works and
general works. Most of our factory and building construction works
to date have been secured on a turnkey basis, whereby the Group
has been awarded the contract for designing and constructing the
entire structure, resulting in our ability to offer more competitive
costs. |

Our
expansion plans have also seen the Group's debut into the area of
civil engineering with our successful completion of two bridges.
Our venture into this sector has been a natural progression from
existing activities due to the similarities in plant and equipment
requirements of civil engineering, piling and sub-structure works.
In addition to the bridges, we have also carried out smaller scale
civil engineering activities such as earth works, water-related
and sewerage works in association with construction projects we
have undertaken. |
